Pokémon Organized Play permette l'uso di carte da set che non sono legali nel formato Modificato, fintanto che quelle carte sono state ristampate in una versione modificata del set-legale. Nella maggior parte dei casi, la meccanica della vecchia carta rimane invariata. Tuttavia, in rari casi, il testo di gioco di una carta č notevolmente modificato: in questi casi, un giocatore puň utilizzare solo una versione precedente di quella carta se č prevista la stampa piů recente della carta, o se il giocatore ha una copia della scheda della carta con il testo piů recente, al di fuori del suo mazzo, come riferimento.
